For what it's worth, the newer Ripspeed units are made by Pioneer...I've got the DV720 and I can't fault it at all!

with dvd players in cars you really do get what you pay for and when they are that cheap you cant expect too much but you could be lucky:rolleyes:if it was me id save up a bit more money and buy a pioneer unit they can be got from €450 and should last a lifetime .
what sort of car are you putting it into there is some great deals available at the moment on double din units

I'm a firm believer in spending the money on something with customer support and common enough you can google for any common problems.

Chinese manifacturers are churning out all sorts, some good some bad, but when you hit a problem it can be a nightmare to figure out what is going wrong.

Iv learned the hard way by spending two weeks troubleshooting an alarm with very thin instructions and no hope of support.
