new iMac not opening ports.

    Hi,
    Not fully sure how to explain this but here goes.
    I had an iMac and had it hardwired to my ps3 via homeplugs.
    I also had a dreambox connected to it and a few other devices (dreambox only for free to air channels !!!)

    Anyway to cut a long story short, I got my iMac replaced as it was scratching my discs and now none of my applications are getting out from the machine.
    I can't use ps3 media server (can ping ps3 but can't telnet on the port)
    Same applies with other media servers.
    I have my firewall turned off etc and still nothing.
    I am trying to get to port 12000 from my pc to DM and can't
    Any port I seem to telnet seems to be closed.
    I tried port forwarding on the router (UPC EPC 2425) and still nothing.
    Anyone got any ideas as this is happening for the past month since I got the machine and its driving me mad.
