Best insurance for iPhone

As the title suggests, I'm wondering about best insurance options. I'm with Meteor so is it wise to keep insurance with same company as network? Are their Ts&Cs reasonable?
This is the run down from their site but the payouts look a bit stingey.

The best insurance is no insurance. They only offer it because they make money out of it, ergo you lose money.

It's different from insuring a house where losing it might bankrupt you, there should be no need to insure things you could reasonably replace.

I'm with padraig on this. I insure nothing. If I lose or break something I take it on the chin, man up and move on.

Same, I wouldn't bother, €66 excess on the policy, and most insurers will take the phone for at least 2 days to fix. I'd say keep your phone away from the toilet and in a decent case and save the €10+ per month.

Insure it if you can afford it. €40 to add on to my fbd contents. No excess for me.

Does that not just cover theft?

The best insurance is free insurance!

On the off chance that you have an Ulster Bank uFirst account then you can get free smartphone insurance up to the value of €1250.
This change was just recently introduced.

I'm on o2 with an iphone4 so this saves me €13 per month.

I had my iphone3 stolen, was in a local restaurant and a guy opened the door and grabbed my bag and ran!! Regarding the insurance, I am insured with carphone warehouse (€13 pm), within 5 working days I had a new iphone4 (because they no longer stocked the iphone3). The excess was €40 so overall I think it was good value for money

Insurance is well worth it imo.

My iPhone got lost/stolen and I had insurance with o2 (the insurance company weren't absolute idiots but I got it sorted through the o2 forum) and I got a new one.

That one then broke and I got a replacement.

Well worth the €8 a month considering the price of buying them new.
