Black Ops Map Packs

I'm thinking of downloading one of the map packs but I dont know which one is the best because I havnt played any of them. I'm pretty much against the whole paying for DLC because its a complete rip off but Im starting to get a bit bored of the old maps and would like a change for a while. So whick pack is better; 1, 2 or 3?

First Strike would be my choice out of the three, although haven't got a good go at Annihilation yet.

Do you play on your own? You have to keep in mind if you play with someone else, you will not be put into a lobby with map packs unless they own them too.

If you are on the xbox360, I would recommend waiting a few more days until people get a better feel for Map Pack 3 to give it a better review.

As for First Strike Vs Escalation, I would personally recommend Escalation for the multiplayer. I enjoy 3 of the 4 maps in it.

I mainly play on my own, but from time to time I would play with a friend if their online. I hate camper maps

Number 1 if you like close combat
Number 2 if you like sniping imo
Map wise I prefer the first map pack.
Have yet to play number 3 yet.

Get map pack 3 if you like seeing people scurry around a golf course running for cover. Hilarious.

i prefer number 1 to be honest.

number 2 is ok but i cant stand zoo or hotel! :mad:

and just played number 3 today i dont like hangar-18 it is a campers wet dream! anytime i spawned some fúcker would shoot me :mad:

Certainly not escalation for me, if i hadta choose id say annihalation but thats because im trying to get good at sniping and im getting 10+ killstreaks on this
map pack probably wont be for long tho :rolleyes:

Also if ya play zombies first strike and annihalation offer the best zombie dlcs, call of the dead got kind of annoying with george. ascension is good to get high rounds if ya play with people who have half a clue of zombies play, shangri la is kind of different in that its very tight and your pretty much always running.

I'd say get 1 or 3.
Pack 1 had two good maps; stadium and discovery. The other two were Berlin Wall, which was OK, and Kowloon, which I didn't really like. I haven't got a feel for all of the maps in pack 3, but there's a map with a golf course that's really good for sniping and 'drive in' which is suppose to be like firing range but it's a little bigger.
Or if you're into zombies, get pack 2.
