If I don't put +353 in front of a number, when that person calls me or texts me, only their number shows, not their name. So I don't know who is ringing me half the time unless I recognise the number.

    Any idea's people?

Make sure when you're creating a contact you put their number in the mobile field. Should work then.

The problem is they're already in the mobile field.

it's good practice to do this anyways, so when/if you're aboard you don't have to edit the number to stick 00 at the front.

once you get into the habit of it, it's much better.

I suppose so, one positive way of looking at it. I went through my whole phonebook and changed all the numbers so should be ok from now on.

And ideally, you should put + in front of 353 rather than 00. International access codes can differ (about 60 countries and territories don't use 00 including the US (011); Australia (0011); Japan (010)).

Putting + in front of the number then selects the correct access code for that country.
