    As in July 7th?

    Any idea why?

Having seen pics of other airlines lovely new cabins on the 773 I bet Etihad are pretty impressive.

Etihads flights have recently gotten very expensive due to the thousands leaving the country and on Thursday I think they run two flights; perhaps they are adding the 777 to add more capacity to the route.

AFAIK its a once off .Its to do with Etihad's 4th anniversary operating from/to Dublin on that date .

One of the cheapest airlines for travelling to Oz I find.

Reason is because they sent the A332 with the "Manchester City Football Club" livery to Manchester and sent the B773 that was due to go to Manchester to Dublin instead. Because of some fixture they are going off playing etc....
So in all, it's nothing to do with adding capacity etc.

It went to Manchester as City today announced a 150mill sponsorship deal with Etihad, as from now the stadium is called Etihad Stadium

I understand that it had nothing to do with the A330 at Manchester.

The 777 was planned to operate this flight due to a very large group travelling to Dublin from India for a conference via Abu Dhabi.
