UC beam bolted to chimney blockwork

Take a look at image file below of a detail of a UC steel beam plate bolted to the blockwork of a chimney. There are no signs of any stress to the blockwork, but my thinking is that this is not an ideal detail and additional propping should be added to take any potential stress off from the blockwork. It has been in place for ~10 years

    Any thoughts?
