I've always wondered where and how the PSNI conducted their public order training, certainly had no idea that the PSNI had use of a facility such as a mock town :eek:
is that facility inside g'ville?

I've experienced what its like to be on the recieving end of 2 water canon first hand... through legal means though, not by rioting haha
got to sit in the canoneers seat and aim the canon too, it was great.

If anyone happened to see the series Police Academy UK that was on a while ago they did a public order bit on it (atleast I think it was it I seen it on...) pretty much the same as what was in that video, but I seem to recall it said many police forces used the facility for public order training including the PSNI, I could possibly have that entirely wrong but I remember something was mentioned about the PSNI in it! Can't remember where it was at mind you, somewhere in England anyways!

Is there not some sort of training facility in Antrim? I recall seeing pictures online once of public order training in some sort of facility there...can't find them now for the life of me :rolleyes:

There are a couple of these mock towns in NI on military training camps - there are loads of them on the mainland too.

I think the one Nolan went to was in NI.
