Hi Folks hoping you can answer me a quick question, I'm clueless when it comes to plumbing.

I have to uninstall a washing machine and replace it with a new one tomorrow. Swapping it out seems straight forward but my question is do I need to shut off the main water supply or can I just turn off the valves connecting the actual washing machine.

I'm in an apartment and I cant see any mains water valve to turn off.

    Cheers !

There should no need to turn off mains water. The valve by the machine will turn off water supply..also if its a new machine it probably only needs a cold water supply so there would be no need to connect up hot water
