Another great race today by Hi-Elbow Tri Club. 5 stars for everything - except - they are slow getting the results up onto their website. Apart from that its A1.

I emailed them to the CEO Matt at 4pm and he had them up almost immediately that day so always to best check TI web site for results. The race organisers rarely have time to do it until later as they have other tasks to deal with usually.

Great race, great weather and really well organised.

Yea I noticed them on TI website earlier today (Sunday), and saw that they were posted there on Sat. So its a case of me looking in the wrong place.

Not faulting Champion Chip whatsoever - you do a great job Glen.

I take your point that the RD are busy, but surely they could allocate the task of posting the results to some techie person?

+1 it was a great race.

Pros: Good weather and a very enjoyable race. Great atmosphere, nice goodie bag, friendly people, helpful marshals and well organised.

Cons: Large amounts of people on the bike course at the same time meant faster cyclists had to cycle on the wrong side of the road quite a bit. Overtaking on both the left hand side and right hand side were common. It was also hard to pass slower cyclists on the tight turns

No prizes, trophy, medal, photo or even any recognition at all for the 2nd and 3rd place triathletes in the overall results. This is probably the first race I have ever been to where this has happened. The fact that this was the National Championships made it all the stranger. If little 5km running races in Ballygobackwards can stump up some prize money for the top 3 places then surely Ireland's premier triathlon event could and should be required to?

For the sake of £300 this complaint good have gone away (£100, £100, £50, £50). It is not cheap to enter these races so surely a minimum standard should be set for prizes at the end?

What makes things worse is this is a direct quote from their race briefing "1st/2nd/3rd male and female overall (£150/100/50)"

Hopefully this prize issue can be sorted soon.
