Hi folks, here's a couple of shots that I've taken in the last 24 hours, I'm not sure what C&C stands for, but I've at least worked out it's inviting some form of critique, so please can I have so lovely C&C?

shemwhistler - C&C Comment and Critique I think it is but I stand corrected.

In relation to your photos. Some C&C.

    1. Nice sky but nothing in the photo apart from part of a top of a building. Try and get something interesting to draw the eye.

    2. Just a photo of clouds never really tends to work unless something else is in the photo. Keep browsing on the random thread here and flickr for some inspiration.

    3. Idea of a silhouette is good but again is a cut off roof. Try having trees or other objects that will add to the photo.

I was that soldier with my first post not too long ago. Best advice I got was practice, practice and practice and keep on posting here and learn from others.

At the end of the day, if you like a photo that's all that counts. It's personal taste.

Thanks for the good advice Balfey, these were more ad-hoc than planned shots, but I'll definitely bear those ideas in mind when I'm working on something more considered.

The clouds were taken in a free minute whilst I was taking snooze worthy shots at a corporate event today.

And the sunset was from the bedroom window, so unfortunately I'm stuck with what I have :)

    Thanks again mate.
