P21 problems

Sorry in advance for the long post and the too many questions. I'm in the process of filling out my grant application. I usually have it all ready pretty early, but it's the first time I've had to include my own employment.

I was employed during the summer of 2010 part-time. Made a small amount of money, didn't get many hours really. I got a P45 and I have all my payslips.

I'm looking at the G1 section of the grant renewal form and I'm being asked for
    -P60
    -P21
    -P45
-"Payslips for the applicant's earnings from holiday employment outside of term time in 2010"

I have the P45. I have my payslips. I don't have (and am not entitled to) a P60 because I wasn't in employment in December of 2010. I think this is ok and my P45 will suffice. However the problem is the P21. I can't register with PAYE Anytime because I never applied for a tax credit certificate, so when I tried to register they sent me back an email saying I had to fill out a form 12A first, which I can't now because I'm not employed. I also can't apply directly to revenue by post for the P21 because I have no P60.

So long story short, will my P45 and my payslips suffice, with a note explaining the situation?

If so, do I send in all my payslips? There's loads of them.

And, last question, in the case of the P45 and the payslips, do photocopies suffice or do I have to send the originals (and just request that they're sent back)?

I usually think it's ridiculous when people ask loads of questions like this, but I've tried studentfinance.ie, www.revenue.ie and citizensinformation.ie already to no avail. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

the p45 will suffice. you wont need to send in your payslips.

as for the photocopy, i sent in photocopy's and they rang me and asked for the originals.
If possible, bring the application form in yourself and ask them to make copies there and then.
If not possible, then send via registered envelope, and ask them to return them via registered post if you want to ensure they are kept safe.
