I know that there are home insulation grants available,
Has anybody got their home insulated and paid nothing up front?
You pay for the work carried out over a period of time, possibly in installments added onto your gas / electric bill, I thought something along these lines was announced by Pat Rabbitt in May,
    Anybody with any info

You'll pay substantially more to get it done this way ,it would be better value to get a loan from the credit union and get a reputable installer to do it.

I think the idea behind this was that as your energy bills fell, this saving would then go towards paying for the insulation installation.
The work would have to be done by a registered installer otherwise no grant
No lines of credit available at the mo so this would have suited if it was up and running and obviously not taking the p*** cost wise.

Personally ,I would always get a private quote when looking at these offers.

Nobody works for board gais directly ,its all done by subcontractors.
