    Hi guys, quick question

I'm looking at getting a TM Burner Superfast 2.0 driver. I'm female, only playing about 2 years but have already outgrown my Cobra S9 ladies shaft.

I tried out a TM Burner with a mens senior shaft & quite liked it. TM guy told me I'd need to get 1.5 inches off it to bring it down to the standard ladies length which is grand.

Golf Store Europe are doing a great deal on custom clubs so I'm finding it hard not to order from them, I just have a couple of questions for any of you knowledgeable people who may have the answer.

The one I'm looking at is here:
    http://golfstoreeurope.com/Kits.aspx?ModelID=2153

There are 2 of the options I would like a 2nd opinion on if that's ok:
    1. Option 3 - choose shaft - 4.8 or 5.8?
I assume the 4.8 one is lighter, am I right in that thinking?
    2. Option 5 - choose grip - is standard good enough, or can anyone recommend any of the other options there?

The 3 wood can be custom made also, with up to 2 inches off the standard length (as opposed to the 1.5 inches for the driver). Would it be foolish to assume the -1.5 inches would also be the best length here too?

    Any help/advice would be appreciated.

You are wasting your time and money imo, go and get properly custom fit on a Tracman launch monitor. Unless you have done this then forget it. The other option is that you were fitted at a Taylor Made day and they gave you the specs you need, if so ring Total Golf(they run the golfstoreeurope.com website) in Derry city and ask them can you get the correct length etc rather than guessing on a website.

As Kermit pointed out you are simply playing guesswork here and wasting your money. Changing shaft length changes the clubs characteristics greatly so if you're spending that type of money get it done properly.

Thanks for your replies, perhaps I wasn't clear enough. I have already been 'fitted' for the club by a Taylormade guy who came to my golf club a couple of weeks ago.

I have the right shaft & launch angle etc, I'm just looking for some advice on the grip etc. The guy told me I needed a mens senior shaft with 1.5 inches cut off it, as that's the difference between the standard lengths of the men/ladies clubs. I'm about average height for a girl so I fully expected to get the standard ladies length.

At the time, I was only interested in a new driver. Now I'm thinking of getting a new 3 wood as well. I was hoping someone on here would know the difference in lengths in a standard mens 3 wood in comparison to a ladies standard 3 wood. I can get it checked before I order it if not.

congrats on getting to this point so quickly..:D
I dont know how TM do the weighting on their shafts but 4.8 sounds wrong, it should be 48. Maybe its torque?
either ways -that head is very light, can be difficult to get used to: if you have a heavy shaft, the swingweight/balance wont be good.
Grip is very personal - i am told i have ladies hands! - long thin fingers, and i like a loose grip; so it all adds up to needing extra big and soft grips.
Also re 3wood, dont forget it can be a substitute driver, so lenght is usefull!
anyways best of luck with it, great clubs
