hi. trying to change hayes stroker ryder pads 2010 on my cube mtb. Able to take them out but stupidly pressed the brake lever so its has closed the gap. How do i release the pressure to open up the gap and be able to put in the new brake pads

did any fluid escape? did the rotor pop out? if not it should be easy enough to fix, just push the piston back into place with the flat edge of a screw driver (or something similar) just be careful not to damage the piston

No panic, just get a tyre lever and spread them,if ya can't get it in use a pen knife, just take it handy :D

Don't touch the lever, just pry the pistons open with something, keep going till they atre flush with the calliper
