Quick one for all the Kilkenny people out there.

Are there any pitch n putt courses close to Kilkenny City Centre, i.e. within 15/20 mins drive ?

There's one in Gowran too i think. Often drove past it. Just before the hurling field.

    Great stuff - cheers.

Is it walking distance from the city centre or would you have to hop in the car ??

The one in Gowran is where I learned to play... haven't been there in years but it's a nice little course, on the site of an old cricket ground apparently, 15-20 mins drive from Kilkenny.

Lacken in Kilkenny is easily within walking distance from the city. If you know the Dublin road, it's beside St. Canices Hospital and the S.E. Health board place.
I played a few holes there with the kids once and it seems like a nice setup.

There's also a par 3 course just off the ring road at the Pococke.

    Cheers for the replies folks.

Lacken sounds like a handy place to get to.

Do they supply the clubs and balls ? What are their opening hours on Saturday ...

I can never seem to get through to them on the phone ...
