    So what happens next,
I just stupidly got caught shoplifing in Penneys,
I needed to get someone dear to me a few essential items, socks underwear etc and genuinly didnt have the money to pay so being the thicko that I am I decided to shoplift them, never been in trouble of any kind with the law before and the gaurd said I might benefit from an adult cautioning scheme besides going through the court, items came to €16,
Obviously I know what I did was wrong and it will never happen again but can anyone advise me what happens next.

You will most likely be given an appointment to meet an inspector and receive a formal caution.

You picked the wrong shop, Penneys hand more shoplifters over to the cops than any other store in the city centre.

And you picked multiple items? You obviously didn't notice the dowdy little woman following you around the store, she's called a store detective.
