My dad recently got a ROSS free-view box from Aldi or Lidl. He installed it and hooked it up to the Sky Satellite which was already in place. Anyway, it automatically tuned in most of the main free-view channels but none of the terrestrial channels are available.

Is it possible to tune in RTE 1, 2, TV3 etc? If yes, how do I go about getting them on there?

    simple answer. :- No.

    only via sky.

you can get them via terrestrial. saorview.

in the future they will be on satellite but not on the same system you have.

    It's not Freeview or Freesat.

It's a generic Free to Air receiver. It won't ever do Irish TV or Interactive.
