I have spent the last month trying to decide what type of Les Paul to buy, new vs s/h, Gibson vs Edwards vs Epiphone vs Tokai, studio vs standard, etc. Went into town today and bought a Gibson Les Paul Studio 60s Tribute that was in the window of the local shop. To be honest, the finish isn't great ( I know it's meant to have the worn look), but it sounded beautiful. Didn't think P90's would sound so sweet.

I'm going to finish work early and get home for some serious playing!:D

Will post some pics soon. Have a minor gripe with pickups though. They are held up by springs, but the springs seem a bit weak, as they move down if you touch off them with the side of your hand. Some stronger springs should sort it.

Despite the P90s being single coil, the sound isn't that far off a humbucker.
