Myself and the O/H are trying to eat healthily, and as part of this (As well as cutting down on what we spend) we're trying to make as much stuff at home as possible. So we're making lunches at home to bring to work, and trying to pre-cook dinners and lunches for the week on say a Sunday evening, and freeze them for the week.

I know you can freeze things like sheperds pie, lasagne, spaghetti bolognaise, curry, soup etc. - and we do. It makes it handier so that you don't spend all evening cooking when you come in from work.

Just wondering if you can freeze fruit salad? Or will it go to mush when it defrosts? We bought a shed load of fruit and cut it all up into a lovely fruit salad. But there's so much that it might start to go bad before we get through it all.

Also, what sorts of things do you make and then freeze for later use? Looking for ideas too!

Unless the fruit is cooked, it's very hard to freeze at home sucessfully. Do you have a juicer? You could make juices/smoothies for yourself when it starts to turn.
