    Hi,

I am not sure if this is the right forum for this query but yesterday I receiveda aprking fine in a Council Public Park car park which I only reliased when I got back to my car after a short run in the pak was a pay and display car park. Anyway on the notice I was told you can pay after 24 hours on-line which I would prefer as the method to pay on this website but it keeps giving me an error message theat either the reg numbers are wron or thedetails have not been entered yet on the secure server sytem. Has anyone else ever paid their fine on this website and if so how long after the fine was issued on your widscreen could you pay online. The website is www.paymyfine.apcoa.ie

From what the website says, APCOA are operating the car park under license from the local authority.

    Yeh,

But I presume if I did not pay the fine i would receive a summons?

You will get a summons ok. It might take 6 months as it did in my case. I am appealing this summons as the ticket was not on the car when i got back to it. The summons was the first i knew about it. Have had awful trouble trying to get in touch with apcoa (the operators of the car park). Not answering their phone. I have just emailed them and sent hard copies of my appeal to their solicitors and Wicklow Co. Co. I also intend to get in touch with Greystones Dart station as they have a CCTV camera very near to car park, I just hope they still have the tapes from the 25th January 2011!!! I will go to court to fight this as I have a strong suspicion that it is all a money making racket.

which council are they working for? i heard they work for a few.. you should call them (number on fine) and make sure the warden didn't make a mistake - like put the wrong reg or something. if they did then you could have gotten away with the fine! or check you got the numbers right... i know it sounds silly but check the o's aren't actually 0's....

Any chance you could provide a little more information to support this advice?

Any dodgy legal advice will result in infractions and bans.

There is a contract. you parked in the car park. signs would say P&D it's for you to notice that... if you refuse to pay they'll send a summons. the council will want their money
