We have tried several working batteries and none work so any help here would be appreciated

ok is there a fuse fitted? did you check that?
have you checked the motor connections?
have you checked the wires have not been pulled out of the plugs/connectors?

these would be my first things to check.

This should be a standard V2 gearbox, but having never worked on one I am not sure. If it is, remove the motor base plate, disconnect the motor, and reconnect it outside of the pistol grip. Pull the trigger. If it spins, you've got yourself a gearbox problem, or more rarely, a motor strength issue. If it doesn't spin, wiring.

If the motor doesn't spin, you'll need to open up the gearbox and have a look at the trigger contacts. It may be something as simple as dirty contacts, or something a lot more complicated

Thanks Inari I did as you said and the motor didn't turn so I might open the gearbox tonight and have a look

Also if it helps there was what smelt like Vaseline at the top of the motor.

Also, before it died the other day for about 5 mins it was not shooting semi then shooting semi, then not full auto etc

just additional info if it helps

Aye, that sounds like the trigger contacts - shouldn't be difficult to identify or fix

    Tried a different motor?
Could be a carbon build up on the brushes. If it's not that then it may be that the contacts have a carbon build up, or you've kinked a wire and broken it.

The copper contacts will be blackened looking.
