Technomate Combo Boxes

Can anyone tell me if the Technomate TM-7102 HD-T2 box will record subtitles. Whilst this machine seems to tick all boxes for me I am unable to get an answer in reading the various reports and it is expensive.

I like the Technomate equipment and actually have at present a Technomate 6900 HD Combo. Whilst this box will record quite well through a USB / external drive the recorded programmes will not show subtitles and this is important to me.

The technomate 6900 does actually record the subtitles as it records the entire stream. Although I've never tried it, I'm sure the right software could display them on a PC.

EDIT:
Just did a quick bit of checking and the Technomate 6900 DOES record subtitles on both DTT and Satellite, providing of course, that they are being transmitted by the channel.

Whilst the 6900 does show subtitles when required the last time I checked it would not show them on it's recordings.

However in view of what you say I will have another go and check if I am doing anything wrong as I am no expert in these things..

For some reason you must have subtitles on when recording in order for them to be available on playback. However I do know that recordings contain all the stream data. Something like TSDoctor shows the two audio streams, Teletext and DVB subtitles (depending on station).

I have a Technomate TM- 7102HD-T2 . I am from Cork , Ireland , would anyone out there know of a good demonstration for this machine . I would like to be able to use it to its full potential,
