I'm guessing a Bulgarian Bag or something vaguely 'Strongman' related?

Anyway, you'll get fine sand in any builder's supply or the like, but this stuff is nice and clean and conveniently packaged and pretty cheap:
    Argos Children's Play Sand - 15kg Bag - €3.99

Ho ho ho guys, thanks for your help!! :) I was told the best thing to put in them was rice, but sand sounds like the cheaper option!

Rice is way lighter than sand measuring by volume. So your bag full of sand will be a lot heavier than it will be full of rice. Maybe a factor to consider.

This is very true. Drifter has a sandbag packed full of metal.

I think he calls it a kettlebell.
