Is there anywhere in Galway open on a saturday, for filling ink cartridges. There's one in Liosbaun I think but I cant find any info on the web or numbers. Would this be open? thanks

There used to be one off the Tuam Road near Friends Restaurant. I used them occasionally but then a few people advised me that the refillable ones can mess up your printer so now I buy the original cartridges direct from the supplier. I figured that the savings would not compensate me price of a new printer & also the refillable ones do not seem to last that long - that's my experience anyway.

I, for the first time, bought some generic ink for my HP. I found inkjet.ie had good prices. The amazing thing was I ordered in the late afternoon and it arrived the next morning. May just have been lucky there, but I was impressed.

It's cheaper to buy a laserjet printer. Two to three thousand pages from a toner

Inkjet.ie's prices are excellent - particularly compared to Dell's price for black toner. I will definitely order from them next time. Thanks

I think I'm gonna have to find another printer... is this one in Liosbaun able to take info off a Memory Stick? :o

Or maybe there's an internet cafe in town that I can use a PC to retrieve my document and print it there?

    Thanks for any replies :)

For future reference there is a shop in Dominic Street that refills Ink Cartridges.

I use InkMaestro.ie - every time I order before 2pm they deliver it by courier the following day, and their prices are very competitive.

If I need ink on the same day, I use the shop in Westside (West City Retail Park) next to Aldi / Post Office / World of Wonder. I've always found their prices & service excellent.

For those who have used a particular generic ink for some time... have you noticed printed pictures fade or don't last as long? Some generics have a bad rep for using inferior chinese ink. I delved in to it a bit and when I saw differences between pigment this and that my mind went numb. Anyone with long-term first-hand experience? I'll have an opinion on the inket.ie after few months when I can compare photos printed with it's ink against the supposedly superior overpriced HP ink.
