    Hey fox, they are not too bad. but you should try to fill up the frame with the subject. Like that bee is very isolated, or yer man on the bike.
    300mm is a long lens so getting close in on the action shouldn't be difficult.

    Dis you process these after shooting?

    They're all a bit dull and lifeless really and there appears to be a green tint to all of them. The overcast sky isn't helping things unfortunately.

    For insects you need to get a lot lower and a lot closer, which is much easier said than done!

    #3 has the most going for it composition wise.

    +1 on number 3 being the best one. You should be able to get a lot closer to your subjects with a 300mm zoom lens, but its all about practice!

    The S1, old as it is, has really good colour reproduction. I know it doesn't have RAW capabilities but if you can shoot in TIFF to try keep the compression down for when you are editing and resaving it will help.

    Number 3 has really nice colours going on, really soft and delicate. They probably all need a bit of contrast boost.

    Thanks lads, I know it's an old camera but it's a very good one it will do me for a year or so. I'm just starting off so I will put the tips in to practice and repost
