Silly question?

I moved into a new house. I can't figure out how to turn on the house alarm. House mates are away for the weekend so can't ask them! Any suggestions? It's a security watch alarm if thats any help. And yes, it is a personal issue as I don't want to get blamed of we have a break in and the alarm wasn't on. there have been break ins the locality recently.

I know they are away, but it's obviously worrying you - so perhaps even a text to let one of them know? I wouldn't feel like you're intruding if I were you, they should have left that information with you. Another thing, if they haven't given it to you already, I'd make sure you get a number for the landlord also, in case of any kind of an emergency.

Their stuff is also in the property, it would be in their best interests to help you.

If you cant turn it on, do you know how to turn it off again when you do discover how to set it? Often a common code like 0#4 will turn an alarm on with a keypad, but you need the security code to turn it off.

if you want to turn it on when you are in the house, you need to type 0 hash 7

to turn it on you need the code, so you will need to call your house mates
