New to these parts of Boards but i thought i'd go where people are most likely to know...

Common enough query I suppose but whats the best way to get old photos onto digital? Will i have to get a scanner and do each one, or is there some service that charges or it?

    There are several hundred photos...

If you have the negs a film scanner will do 5-20 at a time, but they're rare(not sure if we still have ours).

The other option is to use a self feeding scanner, many printer combos have them. That way you could do sizeable chunks at a time.
