Anyone know when the consultation day for 1st year psychology is? Do you have to Email before you go or just turn up? Is this the first step for someone who wants to recheck exam results?
    Thanks Guys :)

I think the consultation day is on Tuesday (that's what I was told earlier anyway). It's the same for everyone :) I think it would be a good idea to email the lecturers you want to talk to, just so they know you'll be coming up. I do think it would be good idea to go and see them if you want to appeal your results - they'll be able to give you advice on whether it would be a good idea or what not.

    Thanks for the reply :)
Do you know if there is someone specific I need to talk to on the day to get my exam scripts?

I really don't know about that, sorry! I assume you'd probably just have to go to the lecturer who taught the module?

Can you email or call teachers during consultation day? I can't come since I'm not in Ireland :( But I need to discuss some things.

Sure just send them an email now anyway :) The idea of the consultation day is that a lot of lecturers probably aren't around campus during the summer so it would be hard for them to meet with students, but I'm sure most of them check their emails regularly. It's probably the quickest way of getting an answer tbh :pac:

I know with the geography department they have said specificially they will not be answering phone calls to discuss results. Email and explain expecting you to fly just for one day is a bit extreme! They might be able to call you at a later date to have a good chat about them when they aren't inundated with requests from people in their office.

I'm going to make an appeal. How do I make it, can I make it electronically? Someone walk me through the process please :)

As far as I am aware you do so by attending the consultation day, and the lecturers have a form which you fill in. There may be a way of doing so electronically, but when I went in with a friend last year that was how she put through for an appeal in the bio department.
