This is just getting ridiculous now and it's making me want to go back to my old Nokia.

This isn't the first basic feature that's been missing for me(inserting contacts into text messages, because apparently nobody does that anymore).

I cannot accept this, this may have been a cheap phone but it still cost more than my old Nokia and is meant to do more.

I am running Froyo/FLB Gen2 and I have tried every setting for O2's APN I've seen online. I've seen others have this issue, but it never gets resolved.

I can't just leave it at that, it's insane.

Would the O2 heads have any clue if I brought it into the store? Since it's not a supported phone, they might leave me high and dry.

I had this before on one of the earlier builds I tried. It was solved when I installed Swedish Spring which had the full APN list built in. Give SS or PS a try and see if it solves the problem.

I had Swedish Spring installed before but swapped it out for FLB due to battery drainage issues. What is PS?

I'm thinking I may have to install yet another distro which is such a pain... more backups....

Is there any way to manually add that APN list?

Portuguese Spring, the next one (I think) after SS.

If you do a backup of what you have now, install SS/PS, there is an APN backup & restore app in the market. If you backup the full APN list to your SD card, restore your FBL, then the APN list, in theory it might work..

    Interesting idea.

Even better is it possible for someone to back it up and send their backup to me? That would be the best idea.

Decided to install Portugese Spring altogether!

Awesome build, even has the DSP controls from 2.3 I really wanted. Now I can use any Mp3 player! Didn't have to reinstall all my apps either for whatever reason.

Recommend to anyone with this problem.

Just hope it doesn't have the battery life issues of SS.
