Advice on a slightly damaged DVD box set?

I bought the 10 disc Ultimate Matrix Collection on ebay.com and got it this morning. I took off the shrink wrapping and heard something moving inside. Unfortunately the spindle of the case for the first Matrix film doesn't hold the disc in. It falls out very easily. The rest of the box set is perfect but it's mainly the first film I bought it for! I can't be bothered sending it back due to the expense and hassle for such a minor flaw. It's still bugging me though. Can anyone help with a solution? I've already banged a begging email off to Warner Brothers Customer Service in the UK looking for a replacement case but I'm pessimistic about my chances. Anybody got any good ideas please? Thanks :)

So the disc is fine but you just want a replacement spindle for the case? Buy a spare disc case for like 50c, take out the cover of the old one and put it in the new one no?

  • No dice! It's a cardboard 2 Disc Digi-Pack case.

Same thing happened with my Blade Runner 4-disc box set. I just put the disc in a sleeve and left it loose in the digi-pack.

I've loads of CD cases that had their spindles smashed in transit as well.
