spotted that around 4-5 days ago and was interested also

Toshiba 40BV700B 40-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p LCD TV with Freeview cannot be shipped to the selected address.

u have to ship to NI first. apparently theres companies allow u and charge to post it on or whatever...
powercity have some decent value tvs also from my shopping around...might work out similar once u factor the shipping costs in... just a guess

only problem with these cheaper ones is they area 50Hz so for fast motion things they mitent be the best.. i dunno..so i hear anyway

I have plenty of family in the UK so the shipping wouldn't be an issue happily - i just hope the lack of comments mean there arent any issues with this tv :p

hmm found my way back here again.
    back onto that tv
Contrast ratio 40000:1 (dynamic). thats a terrible contrast ratio. (dark scenes with bright parts will look poor)

50Hz refresh is slow, and the freeview tuner wont work in ireland so you need to buy a box with it i reckon (nothing about an mpeg decoder there (extra 50-60 euro i believe)

with ur shipping too, i guess you are looking at the 450mark.. still not too shabby anyway i guess.

iv been looking around for 4-5 days there now. pixmania seems around the best value or maybe ebay...
