But I also like the throat mics....

Any hits / tips would be great for kit :D

Help me Obi wan Boards.ie Kenobi..... you are my old hope! :p

It says its uhf... not sure if thats any use for you. For a start... its a chinabrand radio... again, unsure.

Best bet, is to get a normal PMR type radio, and get the mil headset for it.

    Best options...

Motarola T7 talkabout (cheap, but good option for most sites)
Motarola XTR (mid range, decent quality, better range than the T7)
Motarola XTN (spensive but best there is)
TTI TXL 446 - cheap, but up there with the XTR, I use one, amazingly good quality for a mid price radio, good high end airsoft type radio with the functionality for skirmish use at big or small games, and great battery life. (can use AAA as spares in a pinch)
    :)

It's highly unlikely that radio is set to the frequencies we use in Europe, ie the 446MHz range. Best to buy from within Europe. Ebay usually has all those Motorolas available at varying prices. Motorolas are easy to get headsets for as they are a popular brand. Some of the Asian sites have cheap accessories on them.
