    Hey guys,

Thought this might interest a few of you - Kyuzo, the gym I’m training in is having an open day tomorrow (Saturday, 25th June). It’s a great chance to come along and experience some MMA, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muai Thai training first hand (it’s up beside Glasnevin Cemetery).

All the gym's members are training hard for the Munster Open BJJ tournament next weekend so there’ll be a great atmosphere and a chance to ask some questions and learn some techniques for everyone that comes along.

Martial arts training is a great alternative to regular cardio and conditioning and can burn anything in the region of 400-600kcals an hour, if not more. All without feeling like you’re “working” (instead you enjoy what you’re doing and learn a new skill!!).

So pop along - all are welcome (there's exclusive girls classes AND the ladies and guys train together too). If nothing else it’ll give you a chance to choke me. Any questions, post them up or holla at me via PM.

It truly is an amazing workout. The first time I did BJJ, I was astonished at how tiring it was. For the next 2 days, I also had soreness in back muscles I never even knew I had!

    Highly recommended.

Yeah truth. It's definitely improved my overall movement mechanics too. Like just moving around the place and getting up off the floor is more fun. I don't even walk anywhere anymore, I just side roll or shrimp :D
