    There was a thread here about paedophilia, and I had posted in it. It was quite an interesting premise, but when I looked at AH it had disappeared entirely. Thinking I was going a little crazy, I checked my message history, only to find that the posts I had made in it had disappeared too.

    This is immensely annoying. If a thread is considered beyond the Pale (though I see no reason why this should have been), surely locking it and posting a reason is a reasonable response? To just delete entire threads, with no word to those posting in them, and with no explantion, is uncalled for IMO.

    Looks like it got pulled.

    I think it was about to get nasty but I could be wrong.

    I didn't ask for it to be removed btw.

    This is not where you should post these thoughts. For what it is worth though, I agree. That thread was remarkably reasonable considering the content.

    Well I figured it was deleted!

    I don't think it's on really to just delete entire threads with no warnings or explanation, but I'll leave it so.

    Thread was started by a re-reg of someone who was sitebanned earlier to-night for trolling.

    It has been temp-deleted pending review by the AH mods, they may well decide to tidy / re-open when they are around to keep an eye on it.

    Yes, there were some good and interesting posts, Einhard, including yours, and perhaps locking it until they could have a look might have been a better idea, I will bear that in mind. :)

    Seems kind of silly tbh, the thread was perfectly reasonable and nobody had breached the charter. Obviously someone panicked and pressed the delete button, because these sorts of threads are not new.

    There's a thread below in humanities which kinda looked at where we were going to end up imo.

    It seemed to me that there was trolling going on, I read the thread before it was deleted. The OP even used someone's real name as their username (someone well known), and used their first post to discuss that topic. Weird.
