is the spring in the magizine working?

Yes I was doing a bit of rooting with it there now and it seems that when you load it you can only get nine into it but it seems that the rounds were sticking to the front of the clip so with a little help from mr long nosed pliers it doesn't stick any more

Do you mean that you had to drop the clip out cos the bolt couldn't strip a round from the mag to load??? If so it might be that when you load the mag the round you load slides over the rim of the previous round and then you can't slide the bolt forward to load because the rim of the round is caught behind the rim of the lower shell.
Sounds complicated but its not, happens to me sometimes when I use CB long.

Hi there, the spring in the magazine is in the wrong way round.Use a small pin to push in the plunger and mind that the pin and tiny spring don't fly out from the mag floor plate.Turn the mag spring around and it should work.Same thing happened to me it would only load 9 and fail to feed properly...
