    Hi there,

Heading to Kilarney with some friends for the weekend. Anyone got any routes which they'd like to recommend? Mapmyride, or google maps links would be great if you have them. Nothing off-road please.

    Thanks a mil'.

    All sub 100km
    Enjoy, hope that helps.

If you want longer then a great cycle is Killarney - Beaufort Dunloe _ Glencar - Waterville and back via the Ring of Kerry route (Sneem, Kenmare, Molls Gap) or Caherciveen Glenbeigh, Killorglin.

Also, Killarney to Dingle is a nice cycle particularly between Inch and Lispole. Only about 75km.

If you're up for something around the 150km mark, this one is stunning :

If it's a handy spin ye want rather than training, route one from ROK's selection there will get you most of the best scenery in the immediate Killarney area, good grub in Kenmare, and a photo op outside Healy Raes pub in Kilgarvan. What more could you want from a trip to Kerry?

Edit, murphs route also has stunning scenery, ye could even stitch the infamous priests leap onto if ye wanted to really earn that slive of cake in Kenmare...

Thanks a mil' lads. Plenty to do there. The hangovers will probably prohibit us from using Murph100's route (we'll see) but ROK ON's suggested routes look good (the 4th link didn't seem to have any route info though).

Keep an eye out langdang on the 'Photo taken on your cycle' thread for our ugly mugs outside Healy Rae's. Cake in Kenmare sounds the job also;)

edit - 4th link working now. Cheers again.

There's also a cardboard cut-out of the main man on the Kenmare side of Kilgarvan village. His back will be against ye if ye come from Kenmare...

(edit - by handy spin I meant "scenery and not an all day miserython", the climb to Molls Gap is a good ol climb)

Thanks for the suggestions lads. More drinking than cycling was done. We only got out once on the Saturday. I think that this was the route which we took -

For the most part visibility was very poor and the wind was quite strong at times. Very enjoyable.
