Havent recieved cert from fetac

Hey there,

I did a first aid course back in october/november last year and I still have not recieved a cert from fetac.

I am just wondering how long it usually takes to get a cert? It was a course done through FAS

Certs for courses which were assessed last Oct/November would have been issued to the provider in January 2011. I would get back on to the provider/FAS and ask them what's the story.

Was the provider FAS or a private provider contracted by FAS ? Contact FAs and failing that FETAC.

I have found (as a tutor) the certs. take longer and longer before they are sent out.

I taught a class Level 4 in 08/09, they got results, but no certs. to this day.

Is anyone working there?

That is very weird. Our certificates are always issued very close to the date FETAC says they should be issued on- in fact our January ones came the day after the Key Dates Schedule said they would!

(In my opinion this is one of the only things FETAC does very well:))

Difficult Times - you should have got the certs by now - is the provider a public or private provider ? I know that there have been some issues with some providers including FAS re the issue of certs. best bet is to email FETAC with PPSN of the learners.

The centre was closed down last year (FAS funded - kinda!!), I kept in touch with the young trainees & they tell me that they have no certs.

I'm working elsewhere now & therefore have no clout (or business) to enquire.

These people are all under 22 & therefore move from accommodation frequently. Maybe their certs. are in a filing cabinet somewhere & no-one cares, wouldn't surprise me.

Right - if they send their PPSN details to FETAC, FETAC will be able to tell them whether the certs were issued. Alternatively a letter to the Regional Manager of FAS should get things rolling. I know FAS is behind in getting certs out but all of the backlog should have been cleared by now.

Limericks - did you do your course through FAS ? If so then email them if not then email FETAC with your PPSN details

yes but it was through an agent in fas. I emailed FETAC and they have said that Safety Solutions have had my cert since march. I emailed them and have not heard anything back yet. I will ring them tomorrow if I have not heard from them by then.

So turns out the cert was sent to my tutor and she never sent it out. Very annoyed right now.

An update on this. I finally received my cert today after being passed around to different departments and company's for the last month.
