Want internship but not the dole

Today I was told I'd be eligible for a 6 month internship if I went on the dole.
I'm just out of college with a degree but things are not so bad for me that I have to go on the dole.

Is there a way I can put my name down for the internship without sponging off the state when I don't need to? I have also applied for the work placement programme but I believe the internships are better and give more experience

What internship programme? Fairly vital piece of information missing there

Boardsie Enhancement Suite - a browser extension to make using Boards on desktop a better experience (includes full-width display, keyboard shortcuts, dark mode, and more). Now available through your browser's extension store.

    Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/boardsie-enhancement-suite/

If that is the criteria for being eligible for an internship then apply for jsa. A relation of mine got an ibec internship, I believe it was for 12 months but within 6 months he had secured a job in the field that he was qualified in and interested in. I would advise you to go down the route of applying for JSA and the internship especially if the internship is in your field as wpp may not give you the experience as you have already stated.
