Groupset has fallen through so on the look out for a (lightly) used groupset or individual components!

    Ideally looking for the following:

    Double tap levers x 2
    FD 2x10
    RD 2x10
    Compact / Crank - 172.5mm
    Cassette - 12-25
    Chain
    Brakes

Cash awaiting the right kit at the right price!

I have the exact crankset you're after (compact 172.5), although it's SRAM Red.

Presumably you're after the full group, but PM me if you end up in a situation where you just need the crank.

    Hey Lumen,

SRAM Red crank would be sweet but think it's a little to good for me! But if it comes to a stage were the only thing I'm missing is the crank I will drop you a PM.

    Cheers!

How much for the calipers Lousha?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38 Lousha

    Hi Quigs Snr.,
Current Force levers are €340 in CRC . These are the previous less flashy ones so I would sell for €200. They are "as new"
    Cheers
Calipers are €116 in CRC so would I sell for €75

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,615 ✭✭✭Hail 2 Da Thief

I'll offer €55 for the calipers!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38 Lousha

Thanks for the offer but if I don't get those prices I'll keep them :)

    Try €732.51! ;)

If you decide to split it up I'd be interested in knowing what you'd want for the crankset & calipers!

If you took the offer from Hail 2 da thief, I would be interested in the shifters and rear mech...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 68 ✭✭sdcclad

@ Hail to da thief. Try €890. The cranks are the GXP Carbon cranks. The cheaper groupset doesn't have these. What the difference is? I honestly do not know. http://www.merlincycles.co.uk/Bike+Shop/Road+Parts/Transmission/Groupsets+-+Road+Bike/Sram+Force+Groupset_2194.htm

However if you are still looking for the cranks they are 175mm and 53/39. If your still interested let me know.

    Cheers man.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 68 ✭✭sdcclad

Price for the Sram Force GXP cranks and BB in Merlin cycles is @€;290.
Since they are only 4months old and used 7 times. €220

Price for the levers and rear mech on Merlin cycles is @ €440.
Again since they are only 4 months old and used 7 times. €350.

They will come in the original box. And I will include the original cables (as new )

    Let me know guys

    Cheers

SDClad, Merlin are cheap for groupsets but expensive for individual pieces - especially with SRAM. The Force Mech and Shifters for example are 440 on Merlin as you have quoted - and they are pretty close to being the most expensive on the net at that, however, it's not all bad news as they are a far more realistic 346 on Ribble.

...although Merlin themselves are having a sale on Sram stuff right now where you can get a nice price of €165 for a Force Crankset - about 30 euro more if you'd like Red and can find one in your size.

    http://www.merlincycles.co.uk/Bike+Shop/Road+Parts/Transmission/Gear+STI++Ergo+Levers/Sram+Clearance+Sale_SRAM-SALE.htm

The Groupset that Hail 2 Da Thief linked does have the Carbon Cranks by the way. Force only comes with Carbon cranks.

Offer 175 for the levers (or about 70% of new - which for me personally is the limit I go for any secondhand item - and it has to be pristine at that).

@ sdcclad, offer €75 for the calipers.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 68 ✭✭sdcclad

@ Quigs - the only reason i have quoted merlin is because hail 2 da thief quoted the prices on it. Im not into checking websites for prices. Dont really have the time. Let me get back to you on the offer ok. Cheers man

    €220?

Like Quigs Snr has mentioned above, Merlin sell them brand new for €165 which also includes free shipping.

    I think I'll pass!

For sale as stated before. Less than 400km use.
    SRAM FORCE
    Levers € 195
    Calipers € 85
    Fr. Der € 45
    R. Der € 85
Prefer to sell as a group so would sell for €350 collection or meet if not too far
Or will sell seperately Levers for €175 and calipers for € 75 and keep Ders.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,183 ✭✭✭Quigs Snr

Nice condition on that stuff Lousha, I have a full Red Gruppo ready for the new winter bike and only need the levers, but your's would be less attractive to me because fine levers though they may be, they are the 2008 model, which not only look different but actually work a little differently too in that they don't have trim. That might not be an issue for everyone, but it would be for me. These are really a lot more like the 2009 Rival levers in terms of look and function and weight, so they would have to be really cheap, or the whole group you have there really cheap for me to bite - like 275 maybe. Good luck with the sale either way.

@ sdcclad, offer €75 for the calipers.

@ sdcclad, offer still there for the calipers if you'e interested?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 885 ✭✭✭ryan_sherlock

I'm a SRAM head too (thus the sale) but if you are interested in a full (new type) Ultegra Groupo, let me know.

Crankset is unused (53/39 - 172.5) and the rest has about 2500km on but in perfect condition. Say €550?

OK lads. So i checked on ribblecycles.co.uk which are cheap in fairness. I didn't mean to try and screw anybody with prices.

    New List;
    Levers w/ cables- €200
    Cranks - €150
    R Mech - €70
    F Mech - €25
    Calipers - €85
    BB - €15
    Chain - €25
Cassette - €75 (its the Sram 1090 cassette)

I have all of the original boxes aswell so everything will come boxed.
Ill try my best to stick to the prices set.

    Be nice!

    Hey sdcclad,
They are brilliant prices, I hope you get a buyer as they are a real bargain! I am withdrawing my Force parts for sale as I think I'll stick 'em on a spare frame ( now all I have to do is hide it from someone who thinks...."One bike is enough, surely". Good luck with sale

I'll take the calipers at asking. What BB type is it & what's the cassette ratio?

@lousha - cheers pal. best of luck.

@hail2dathief - just look up any pic of new sram force levers on the internet. They are in perfect condition sure hardly ever used them. wont drop below €200 though im afraid. But they are just like new! and will come with the box.

@tawfeeredux - thanks dude. PM for the calipers. BB is english thread. and the cassette is an 11-23. Manly gears!

@ all - thanks for the interest.

€175 is roughly 70% of what a new pair would cost. I'm not prepared to offer more than than for a 2nd hand item! I'll leave the offer open for the rest of the day.

PM sent. BB doesn't suit my frame, but I'd be interested to have a look at the cassette if & when we meet up re the calipers.

Hey Lumen, is the Sram red BB30 or GPX version, black or grey colour, what year and does it include the BB.

GXP, 2009. I'm not sure what you mean by black or grey - the cranks are black, the chainrings are the standard "filled in" grey Red ones. No BB.

Not used much as I bought in August 09 then replaced with Quarq powermeter crank in Jan 2010. I think I was off the bike injured in the mean time; I guess it's had a couple of months of normal use over the entire ownership period, maybe 2000km.

Was there not "offer" and "acceptance" in posts 35 & 36, thus creating the two necessary components required for the formation of agreement for the transaction to take place ;);)
