Stone cladding plinth

Thinking about using stone cladding for plinth around house. Just wondering if many have done this before and what supplier/type they used. Hard to find good images of it online.

I did this job with brick once. Wall ties were installed. Damp course continued out at DPC level. Lead cover flashing chased into existing to cover the top join. The principal is the same with stone.Good luck
