Sky HD Channels

    I'm just after getting a sky hd sub as there's a few things on over the summer I'd like to watch, Before this I was using a skd hd box with an english card so I had bbc1,bbc,itv,ch4,ch5 all in hd.
    After going through the channels on my Irish sub am I right in thinking bbc1,ch4 and ch5 hd aren't available?

    Correct, they are not available. It was previously possible to tune in BBC One HD using the "other channels" feature but that may have changed since BBC changed their HD broadcast format.

    No its not.

    It can not be tuned in .

    If you had it tuned in before the change some boxes kept it . Most didn't though.

    I just tried to tune it in there and nothing was found, I think I'm going to cancel my sky sub.

    Try deleting it and tuning it in again.

    you cant tune it in cause Sky box wont let you input 23000

    You can't cancel now as you are tied into a 12 month contract.

    As said before,some boxes can still get BBC1 HD and others can't,I have a Pace box and still have BBC1 HD in 'other channels'.

    True but generally I've found that people saying they "just got Sky or HD in" tend to have it for a few months.It's just the Irish way:)

    Anyhow it's a bit drastic cancelling over a couple of channels when the op now has access to nearly 50 more.:rolleyes:

    It's not really drastic cancelling when i'm not getting the channels i want, most of the channels on sky are pretty ****e imo, the only one i want that i don't get with an english freesat card is eurosport hd.
