Cant set up Skype account

    When i tried to set up Skype account it keeps telling me that my email address isnt a valid one, its a gmail which is valid and when i tried a hotmail address it told me the same thing any ideas as to why this is?

    Are there any special characters in either address (like . or -?). Is it saying that you can't or that you've already got an account?

    If you go to the website (http://www.skype.com/intl/en/home) can you create an account that way?

    Tried that but no luck its telling me the same thing again that my email is not valid and its the same on twitter for some stupid reason

    Strange, it is letting me set up a new account with my gmail. Is it the auto type that comes up and you are selecting it? Have you tried typing it in making sure you are not leaving spaces?

    sorted now thanks was the stupid auto text on the email
