Never heard reports of them, and I read a bit in the fitness forum, most there would recommend a 2nd hand concept 2 rowing machine over any cheaper ones.

Mods, not sure if this is the right place but here goes....

My wife ordered a vibrating plate off the met from a company called Irish Sports Direct. A week later a courier turned up with a really battered up box. On opening the plate was found to be damaged. Wifey rang the company who agreed to replace the broken part, a few days go by and yesterday another courier turned up. On opening we found the replacement part to be equally broken.
Problem is, now their phone rings twice and then to a disconnected tone. So I called to their 'Office', this turned out to be just a postal drop address. It's not looking good.

    Beware sporty types!

I asked my sister 18 months ago what she wanted for Christmas, she said "a cross-trainer". Did a bit of a search, eventually decided to buy from Irish Sports Direct. I gave her address (in Tipperary) on the order for the delivery, along with her phone number if there were any problems. I also paid for the next-day delivery option (this was on a Sunday evening so I assumed it would be there by Tuesday).
By Wednesday, there was no sign of the order. I rang the company & was told that the delivery guy had been unable to find the address. I asked if he had rang my sister to look for directions. Her number had not been included with the order form he had received. When I asked him what exactly he had printed on his form, the address he had was correct for the first 2 lines. The county, however, was given as Dublin...not too surprised that he had been unable to deliver it!!!
I rang the company back & told them about the error. They promised that the cross-trainer would be delivered the next day. I pointed out that I had paid for next-day delivery & would be expecting this to be refunded. I was told that that was only natural.
The package was delivered on the Thursday. When my sister opened it, it turned out that the cross-trainer I had ordered for her had somehow morphed into an exercise bike!!! By now I was livid & was all set to ring up & demand to speak to someone who was actually capable of processing an order. My sister, however, is very much "one for the quiet life" & begged me not to, saying that she had been trying to choose between the bike & the cross-trainer when I asked her what she wanted & she didn't mind at all & sure she'd still use it & there was no need to fly off the handle at anyone...
My advice...steer clear. Although in fairness to _someone_ who works there, I did get back the money I'd paid for the next day delivery!:D
