    Hi Folks

One of the few courses I'm interested in studying next year (2012) is the Sports & Exercise Management degree in UCD. I just wanted to ask if it is a generally competitive degree course to get into and what mature students thought of the application process? (Interviews etc)

I would be really interested in the Exercise Management route, I don't particularly play alot of 'team' sports but have been very interested in Physical Exercise & Fitness for many years and already have a Level 5 Cert with many distinictions.

I guess just asking if it's a tough course to get into and would they require alot from mature applicants in terms of experience and/or previous education? Does anyone know the max places for successful applicants on the course either?

    Thanks :)

    HI,

I am a current mature student in this course and just about to begin 2nd year. I have thoroughly enjoyed my first year and find the course really interesting. It can be tough but as you already have an interest in this capacity it makes it a lot easier!!

In regards to application process, there is no interview just the CAO application but I would suggest that your personal statement be something that stands out. I do not have any certificates but my previous experience in a voluntary capacity helped my acceptance.

There is approximately 40 spaces in total on the course with about 8 held for mature students. I am not sure how in demand the course is as such but would definitely recommend it!

Drop a message if you have any questions, apologies this is so delayed!
