Triathlon Training

Hi I am very busy and don't have much time to train for a sprint triathlon.

I want to train a bit smarter than I have been. I go for two 50k cycles every week and have time for about 2 more runs and possibly a swim.

I just wondered does anyone have a training schedule? I'm doing it in 8 weeks. Just really should I be doing interval training and how do I do it???

    Thanks

I'd look upon it as 5 training sessions that you have time for a week.

I'd split is as one session for your strongest discipline and two each for your weakest two or 2 swims, 1 x bike, 1 x run amd 1 x bike/run brick session.

Are you wanting to win or to just complete it and how much training have you done so far?

If you're just trying to compete it I would be aiming to make sure you can complete the distances and aim to get faster each week then have a n easy week the week before.

You could use this to give your training some structure. If the event is going to be an open water swim rather than pool, try to get some relevant practice in.
    Good luck:)
