So after yet another soaking on Saturday it's time to purchase good gear. Now Galvin Green is out of my price range but I'm looking at Sunderland stuff on Amazon but why do the prices fluctuate so much?

    For instance

    This is £99.99

    but

    This is only £69.99

They are from the same seller.

Try this, closer to home, free shipping and a better jacket with detachable sleeves when its raining and warm.

Or if you like the Sunderland so much this is much cheaper than what you have been looking at with free shipping

There is NO such thing as a waterproof golf suit. I have spent loads of money on different makes and found none of them much good. Some of them make you sweat a lot and feel uncomfortable too. Waste of money. Buy a cheap one and spray that waterproof stuff you get in the camping shops over it.

The Mizuno gear gets great reviews the fabric is meant to be really good.

What you are looking for is something with the gore tex fabric. Waterproof + breathable + pretty expensive. :(

They were a birthday / Christmas / fathers day present all rolled into one. I do know from the above link I posted they were pricey but still not as expensive as the Galvin Green suits.

I have DryJoys too and they were the best thing I ever got. Pricey yes but I have them a few years so they can't work out pricier than cheap pairs that need to be replaced frequently. One thing I NEVER do is put them in the washing machine or even hand wash them. I clean the mud off the legs with baby wipes or brush them with a clothes brush if I have let them dry. I also try to remember not to stuff them back into the bag when they are still wet, just let them air dry and then put them in. You can buy the jackets and legs separately so, if there are budget constraints, buy one when you can afford it and then the other. I actually swopped a golf prize for my jacket and bought the legs.
