Commuting Docklands to Clonsilla

I'm looking removing the car from my daily commute. Docklands-Clonsilla looks like my best bet, with a shortish cycle from Clonsilla (would be shorter from Coolmine, but alas train runs nonstop in peak hours).

    Could anybody advise:
    - Does clonsilla have *secure* bike parking where you could comfortably leave a cheap bicycle overnight?
    - Bearing in mind that I am going in the opposite direction to most commuters, are the trains be quiet enough to get away with carrying the bike?

Re your second question, the trains going opposite morning city inbound and evening city outbound will be deserted on this route so no problems with the bike on board.

Re your first question, there is a sheltered bike rack at Clonsilla that has open access at all times so it is probably only as secure as parking it anywhere else. I don't think anyone can give a scientific answer as to how safe it will be.
