JSB after being laid off some time ago

    Greetings, was laid off last December but didnt claim JSB because there was a hope of being rehired and had enough in savings to keep me going. That has passed at this stage, will I still be able to claim JSB?

    Yes, if your entitled to dole, get down to your dole office now.

    Bring with you 2 forms of id. Passport, driver licence, something with your address, bank statement + p45.

    Jobseekers Benefit is based on your PRSI contrubutions, you must have at leas 104 (2 years) contributions since you first started work and have 39 paid or credited in the relevant tax year. (At least 13 must be paid)

    Your relevant tax year would be 2009.....If you dont have 13 paid that year the following years can be used to meet the condition
