I'm currently on jobseekers allowance getting 100euro, would doing a Work Placement Programme entitle me to the full amount of 188?

To my knowledge you only receive the same level of benefits , you don't get any extra even though you may incur signifiicant transport costs.
Folks in the State Benefits forum would know for sure.

not sure to be honest but I do think that wpp are still paid by social welfare and not fas. As you still have to sign on. I'd imagine your payment would remain the same. Call into fas and ask. If you do a course you get more money.

"Do I have to leave my placement to sign on during WPP?
No. DSP have made provision for those on WPP to sign by post. Please arrange this with your local social welfare office. "
